Halal Certification
A Halal Certificate is an acknowledgment of the halalness of a product issued by the Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency based on a written halal fatwa issued by the Majelis Ulama Indonesia. After having a halal certificate, a product can be declared safe for consumption and free from haram ingredients.
Products entering, circulating and traded in Indonesia must be halal certified, this is as regulated in Article 4 of Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning halal product guarantees
